Water Wells

SUSTAINABLE NOURISHMENT

Details About The Projects

Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet millions of people around the world lack this basic necessity. Inadequate water supply and acceptable sanitation in schools, health care facilities, and public places remains a huge challenge in Gambia.

At FDF we are working to increase the population’s access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation. This will dramatically help reduce water-borne diseases, of which children are sadly the first victims.

Donating to our water wells project is a powerful act of compassion that will positively impact communities for years to come. It’s also a highly investable means of attaining sadaqah jariyah. Your donations will not only quench thirst but provide opportunities for education, economic growth, and community development. Improved water access leads to better hygiene, sanitation and every drop of water from these wells becomes a source of hope and progress.

The cost of a borehole is £3500.

Each borehole provides access to safe drinking water for approximately 1000 people within a village.
